Didsbury Greys 3s vs City of Manchester 1s

Our first cup match of the season and what a tough match it was for the 3s!

With all players in high spirits during the pre-game changing room talk, it became very apparent that what was going to be a hard game was intensified by we were now down to 10 players!

Nevertheless, after a good warm up the Greys started the game with a clear match plan and positive mindset. COM instantly added pressure into the Greys half but we stayed strong and followed the game plan, man marking and not chasing the ball! Vicky, Saf and Rachael were strong in the defensive line with COM getting many shots on target however a goal came within the first 11 minutes. From this COM kept the pressure with further goals to be scored throughout the game. There were a few breaks down the pitch from the 3s with some good running from the mids and forwards.

Overall a brilliant game with all the team working really hard, staying strong and an excellent defensive effort from everyone.
