2 Teams. 2 races. 1 Goal. Who will get there first?

Given the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Greys have decided to set a few challenges for ourselves, with the most recent being a triathlon challenge for those who partook smashed out the park. Not only giving them a goal and boost fitness, but ease some of that COVID blues. We are doing socially distanced fitness sessions as a club and people have the option to do it at home should they wish.

However, the teams new challenge will be that of 1000 miles (as if triathlon wasn't enough). Specifically, 2000 as we have 2 teams for those keen beans.
The group decided to add an element of a surprise following the Didsbury Greys success in triathlon, by randomly splitting those who wished to partake in the challenge in half. We are competing team 1 vs team 2 (original) against each other. Team names will hopefully be confirmed- but lets role with the classic 1 and 2 for now.
Competitors can walk, run, hop, skip, lunge, swim, or cycle (though we are not accepting the full total miles of cycling- you know want to make it last a tad before the season starts). Whatever mileage they over, we'll add. So game on!!

Alongside the competitive aspect, those included in the competition voted, and we are raising money for Dementia UK. Click the link to see some of the work that they do.
They are also doing a 24/7 challenge for August which helps raise money for dementia specialist nurses who support the individual and the families, so go check it out for some more details.

Head over to the Facebook pages to donate and help us raise some money for a great cause.

The race commenced today... so on your bike, get your trainers on or wetsuit whatever floats your boat, and let's get some serious mileage in. GO GO GO, the purple army is marching on.

Check out the social media platforms for more details and follow the race in full as well as links to donate to a cracking cause.
